National Bike Week was launched to raise the profile of cycling as a fun and sustainable mode of transport and as a healthy physical activity. It is organised by the National Transport Authority, via the network of local authorities and their partners.
Cork Bike Week is organised by Cork City Council in conjunction with the Cork Sports Partnership, local community groups, youth groups, clubs, schools and other organisations.
This year, there are over 100 cycling-related events to choose from. So, join us, get on your bike, and enjoy a week of cycling activities!

By offering this opportunity, attendees can detect and address issues early, leading to savings on repairs. This event is specially catering for the Deaf and hard of hearing, but everyone is welcome to join. The Rainbow Cycle with Gay Project & Queer Bike Rides Cork! This year Gay Project is teaming up with the newly formed Queer Bike Rides Cork to highlight the group and support their growth through this joint effort. The group provides a safe and inclusive space for individuals within the LGBT+ community to connect and build relationships while enjoying a shared interest in cycling. Additionally the event aims to promote physical activity and mental well-being to a community that faces unique health disparities. Social cycle for LGBTI+ adults along the Marina Greenway route followed by coffee and chats. The cycle will be led by trained ride leaders. Bikes can be provided for up to 20 participants so all members of the community have less barriers to participation. Participants are also welcome to bring their own bikes.
